[If you enable Google Analytics, keep the following paragraph. If you do not, delete it and delete the Google Analytics rows in sections 5 and 6.]

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you and information about how we process it.

  • Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.

  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data where there is no good reason for us to continue processing it.

  • Restriction — ask us to pause processing while a concern is investigated.

  • Portability — receive the data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or have it transmitted to another controller, where processing is based on consent or contract and is carried out by automated means.

  • Object — object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including profiling, and to object at any time to processing for direct marketing purposes.

  • Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent (for example, analytics cookies), withdraw it at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, email explore@pinta.ie. We will respond within one month. That period may be extended by a further two months where the request is complex, and we will tell you if that applies. There is no charge, although we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. We may ask you for information to confirm your identity.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first at explore@pinta.ie so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish supervisory authority:

Data Protection Commission 6 Pembroke Row, Dublin 2, D02 X963, Ireland Phone: +353 1 765 0100 / 1800 437 737 Website: dataprotection.ie

10. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls on the accounts that receive enquiries, multi-factor authentication where available, and limiting access to personal data to those who need it.

No transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we do our best to protect your data, we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to the Site, and any transmission is at your own risk.
